In 2009, Judson Press celebrated its 185th year of Christian publishing!

The centerpiece of our celebration is our Friends of Judson campaign which we are continuing into spring 2010. As part of our commitment to providing Christ-centered leadership resources for the transformation of persons, congregations, communities and cultures, our goal is to raise the funds to offer graduating American Baptist seminarians a personal Baptist library collection.

In 2010, seventy-seven American Baptist seminarians received a personal Baptist book collection which included:

• A New Baptist Church Manual
• Baptism Ahead
• Down by the Riverside
• Down by the Riverside – Study Guide
• The New Life
• The Work of the Bivocational Minister
• The Work of the Chaplain
• The Work of the Pastor

We've been touched by the response from seminarians who received this gift. In a letter to Judson Press, newly ordained associate minister Pat Austin wrote, "I was pleasantly surprised to have received this information and the timing could not have been more perfect. I was in the process of studying for ordination and these books were an additional resource." Read the rest of Pat's letter here.
