Author Bio
Linda H. Hollies (1943-2007) received her MDiv from Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary and her DMin from United Theological Seminary in Dayton, Ohio. In 2006 she was named pastor of the Calvary United Methodist Church in Jackson, Michigan, making her the first black American woman to serve as senior pastor of a mainline Protestant church with a predominantly white congregation in Jackson. In addition, she was the spiritual director/pastoral counselor of WomanSpace in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Hollies was the editor of Sister to Sister, Volume 2: Devotions for and from African American Women (Judson Press) and author of several books including Inner Healing for Broken Vessels and Jesus and Those Bodacious Women.
