The late Emmett V. Johnson was the director of evangelism for American Baptist Churches for twelve years. He previously served as executive minister of the Minnesota Baptist Conference of the Baptist General Conference. He also served as vice president of the Baptist World Alliance and on the boards of International Urban Associates, Northern Baptist Theological Seminary, and the GROW Center for the Renewal of Churches.
