A basic Bible study written from a personal perspective, Why Bother With the Bible constructs a solid foundation for serious Bible study among laypersons. Gaddy offers basic Bible study guidelines written out of his true love and appreciation for the Scriptures. He takes us from asking why we should bother with the Bible to listening to and obeying it as a book of faith and a book for faith.
"This accessible volume beats with the pulse of God's merciful story of befriending humans, calling us to completeness. Gaddy stirs the reader toward a new receptivity to God speaking through the Scripture." Molly T. Marshall, President and Professor of Theology and Spiritual Formation, Central Baptist Theological Seminary
"Why Bother with the Bible is informed, authored by an incurable scholar and devoted servant of the Word of God. This book is honest even when it is hazardous to be so, and includes help with competing perspectives within pluralistic communities. This book is exciting, with turns both surprising and rewarding." Frank Stagg, Professor Emeritus, The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary
"C. Welton Gaddy has called us to a fresh understanding and reverence for the Word of God. His work is an insightful, informative, and inspiring treatment of the Bible." Gardner C. Taylor
