Judson Press celebrates the life and legacy of Rev. Dr. Samuel B. McKinney (1926-2018)
A Resolution to Honor Dr. Samuel B. McKinney
In this journal, Hollies offers a place to record your most private reflections. Daily words of wisdom and encouragement along with a weekly Scripture verse provide an opportunity to "encounter the sister within."
Linda H. Hollies (1943-2007) received her MDiv from Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary and her DMin from United Theological Seminary in Dayton, Ohio. In 2006 she was named pastor of the Calvary United Methodist Church in Jackson, Michigan, making her the first black American woman to serve as senior pastor of a mainline Protestant church with a predominantly white congregation in Jackson. In addition, she was the spiritual director/pastoral counselor of WomanSpace in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Hollies was the editor of Sister to Sister, Volume 2: Devotions for and from African American Women (Judson Press) and author of several books including Inner Healing for Broken Vessels and Jesus and Those Bodacious Women.
