Douglas Beyer is pastor emeritus of First Baptist Church of Temple City, California. He has served as interim pastor in Manila, Philippines; Taipei, Taiwan; Hong Kong, and Mexico City.

He is the author of Basic Beliefs of Christians, Commandments for Christian Living, and Parables for Christian Living (Judson Press) and editor with Paul F. Ford of Words To Live By: A Dictionary for the Mere Christian, (HarperCollins, 2007).
