John Burns has been a pastor for thirty-five years, serving churches in Oklahoma, Illinois, Louisiana, and Maryland. He recently celebrated his twentieth anniversary as the pastor of University Baptist Church in College Park, Maryland. Burns holds an M.Div. from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. John has also written several lessons for Journeys Sunday School curriculum. He is also currently serving on the American Baptist Churches USA Board of International Ministries. Rev. Burns is married with five children and one grandchild.
