Program Focus: The temptation of Jesus

Purpose:
• To introduce/reintroduce participants to the historical Christian roots of Ash Wednesday/Lent
• To explore the story of Jesus' 40 days of temptation in the wilderness
• To encourage participants to use the 40 days of Lent as a time for spiritual self-reflection and confession of sin and as a time to refocus on what they need to do to grow as Christians
