ABHMS is launching our online Center for Continuous Learning in June! A source to equip ministry leaders with practical mission education, our premier event is “Starting the Money Conversation.” In this two session training, we’ll expand your financial toolkit with booklets designed around four common money issues: resolving debt, getting bills in order, understanding and using credit, and saving for our goals. The first 500 individuals to register will receive copies of all four booklets, plus two that are published in Spanisha gift and resource for you personally or for your ministry setting.

A sermonic approach to ministry for a church in transition. Featuring sermons that were preached in a congregation between the season of Easter and Christmas during an interim season of pastoral transition, this book gives attention to the church’s need for renewed leadership, exploring the nature of church for a new day, while honoring its history and reminding the congregation of the content of Christian teaching, while moving forward into a new future. Includes commentary by the author about various pertinent features in the sermons, particularly in the context of an urban Latino/a church. Also available in Spanish as an ebook edition!
While addressed primarily to Latinx churches and preachers, Dr. Agostos sermons and notes in his book, Preaching in the Interim>, model themes and methods for all churches and their clergy in transitional phases of ministry. Deftly combining his deep biblical scholarship with the daily realities of the church, popular culture, and current events, these sermons help the Scriptures speak energetically to both elders of the church and younger Christians. I especially appreciated the last section on preaching in Advent and Christmas, themes too often neglected in current homiletical books.:Rev. Rochelle A. Stackhouse, PhD, Transitional Minister, Center Church UCC, Hartford, Connecticut
