This is the story of Edwin T. Dahlberg, who helped found the Fellowship of Reconciliation and the Baptist Peace Fellowship. His pronouncements when president of the Northern Baptists, and later as president of the National Council of Churches, were damned by some who misunderstood him, but he lived to see many of those statements adopted as national policies of Republican and Democratic presidents alike.
"History is made by the actions of extraordinary individuals who influence the world in their own time to such a degree that those of us living after them still benefit from their inspiration and commitment. The late Rev. Edwin T. Dahlberg was clearly such an extraordinary individual, and we are fortunate to have this excellent biography by his son, Keith." from the Foreword by Paul Brandeis Raushenbush, Princeton University
