Description
"Teach us to pray," the disciples asked Jesus, and he responded promptly with a deceptively simple but significant model for prayer. When Christians begin to understand why Jesus chose the precise words of this potent prayer, the true power of the Lord's Prayer will be released to change the Christian faith. Not only will Christianity be revolutionized, Christians themselves will become empowered to revolutionize the world. A resource for individual study and small group action, exploring the practical and transforming potential of the prayer as recorded in Luke 11. Each chapter focuses on a particular phrase—and explores its impact for ministries of service, healing, and justice.

"Alice Greene has crystalized a central question for us as followers of Jesus Christ: how best do we do that which Jesus teaches us to do? The answer is found in the beautiful simplicity of the model prayer. The Lord, indeed, has taught us how to pray. Alice Greene shows us how to apply that prayer to our lives."
