Reviews
Church leaders often want to believe that a church isnt a business and so we shouldnt try to implement business practices in the church. However, in many aspects of leading a church, business principles provide practical and helpful guidance. Using data, making decisions, determining strategy, working with facilities, and managing finances are among the skills that a pastoral leader needs. The Howells use their learnings from the MBA and the practice of ministry to enable pastors to develop strong leadership and management skills. This book is a must-read for church leaders! Rev. Kimberly T. Ingram, Director of Ministerial Services and Conference Secretary, Western North Carolina Conference, The United Methodist Church
This work is a beautiful marriage of the tools of business management with the theological responsibility of the pastoral office. If pastors and lay leaders are serious about upgrading congregational effectiveness and efficiency, this is a must read. James McCarroll, Senior Pastor, First Baptist Church, Murfreesboro, TN
